The humility of Christ calls us to let His loaned power rest in our hands, but never to close our fists around it.

If Jesus truly is the best thing in this world, we are free to be nobodies. 

If I want to soothe that deep, empty ache in my heart, am I ready to chase down the right things, even when it costs me dearly? 

No, the answer, if there is one, isn’t to heap another burden onto the weary. It is, instead, to look to Jesus for our rest.
