John D. Meade

John Meade joined the faculty of Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2025 after more than thirteen years of seminary teaching. He teaches Hebrew language and exegesis, Old Testament literature, the Septuagint, and biblical theology. His research includes Origen’s Hexapla, the Septuagint, textual criticism of the Hebrew Bible, the canon of Scripture, and biblical theology. He presents regularly at scholarly gatherings such as ETS and SBL. John and his wife have four children, and he enjoys reading, fitness, and traveling with his family.
