Byron Johnson

Byron Johnson, Ph.D., is Distinguished Professor of the Social Sciences at Baylor University and founding director of the Baylor Institute for Studies of Religion. A leading scholar in the scientific study of religion, faith-based organizations, and criminal justice, he has authored more than 250 academic articles and numerous books, including More God, Less Crime and The Angola Prison Seminary. Johnson also serves as co-director of the Global Flourishing Study, a major international research initiative examining human well-being across diverse cultures and societies.
