Day 1 – Love for the Word

As we kick off the month of October and reflect on Pastor Appreciation Month, we are well aware of the challenges facing pastors in ministry. One of the greatest challenges is for pastors to continue to develop their love and passion for the Word amidst a world full of distractions. Today, let us pray that the Lord may grow our pastors’ love for His Word in the following ways:

• Love for the Word
• Commitment to know the Word
• Renewal from the Word
• Ability to share the Word in their daily lives
• Trust in the truth of the Word

Lord, I pray that my pastor (for a church member)/I (as a pastor) will grow in his love for your Word, that their passion to know you and your Word will strengthen, and that their love for your Word will pour out into their every day life…
