Announcing the New FTC Imprint with Moody Publishers

by Staff June 13, 2016

We are pleased to announce an important new partnership with Moody Publishers in launching the new For The Church imprint, a venture we hope will continue the great equipping of church leaders for gospel ministry that motivates both of our organizations. Moody has been a great leader in resourcing the church for decades now, and therefore has a long and trusted track record with pastors and ministry leaders. We hope by partnering with them on select titles to celebrate their legacy with them and help take the For The Church vision well into the new century.

Here is a word on this exciting new partnership from Editor of the Church Leaders line at Moody Publishers, Drew Dyck:

Moody Publishers is delighted to partner with For the Church!

Our missions could hardly be more closely aligned. We’re both unapologetically pro-church and dedicated to equipping its leaders. Moody Publishers exists to “resource the church’s work of discipling all people” while For the Church seeks “to engage, encourage, and equip the Church with gospel-centered resources.”

While we share a similar vision, we bring different strengths to the partnership. Moody has a legacy name and proven book publishing expertise. For the Church has knack for digitally equipping church leaders—and its association with Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary ensures the training it provides remains relevant to those preparing for ministry.

Our forthcoming joint books demonstrate the promise of our partnership. We have recently released On Pastoring, in which veteran preacher H. B. Charles gives 30 instructive reflections on the pastor’s heart, leadership, and public ministry. In the fall, we are publishing Discerning Your Call to Ministry by Jason K. Allen, president of Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminar. Dr. Allen’s book will help people answer the notoriously difficult question, “Am I really called to be a church leader?” We’ll also be working together to release a three-book series on the confession, nature, and expression of the church by pastor and author, Joe Thorn.

We’re excited to see what God does through this partnership! As we work together to equip leaders, we pray that God guides our efforts and uses them for the church’s good and for his glory.
