Introducing Our New FTC Editorial Assistants

by Staff September 19, 2016

Dear friends,

For The Church is Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary's site for gospel-centered resources, just one ongoing aspect of Midwestern's commitment to keep theological education as wedded as closely as possible to the local church. And one of the great blessings for our resource site has been the impact of Midwestern's record growth over the last several years. This means that as the seminary's growth has allowed for greater growth for the FTC ministry, as well. This has included things like the success of our conferences and regional events and our imprint partnership with Moody Publishers. On the ground, it also means we get more hands on deck!

We've been pleased to bring on board a couple of editorial assistants to help with the day-to-day publication of FTC resources and other Midwestern publishing needs, and it's my privilege to introduce them to you.

Mike Brooks

Mike serves as an editorial assistant at For The Church and also handles our FTC social media streams (Instagram, FB, and Twitter).  He is currently an M.Div student at Midwestern and served most recently as an Associate Pastor at Greenbriar Church in Albany, Georgia. He enjoys writing, watching most sports, and loves all things theology and church planting. Mike and his wife Paige, who serves as the coordinator for the Midwestern Women's Institute, reside in Kansas City. You can follow Mike on Twitter via @mikebrooks

Allyson Todd

Allyson serves as an editorial assistant at For The Church and as our director for FTC women's intitiatives. She also handles our Midwestern Seminary social media streams (Instagram, FB, and Twitter). Allyson began her time by becoming a part of the Fusion program where she had the opportunity to serve as a missionary in South Asia for two separate semesters. She completed her undergraduate degree at Midwestern in May of 2015 with a degree in Christian Ministry (missions emphasis) and a dual major in Humanities. Currently, she is pursuing her M.Div at Midwestern, serving as the RA for undergraduate girls, and is a member at Redeemer Fellowship Kansas City. Her ultimate desire is to continue learning more about the Word of God and equipping women to make disciples. You can follow her on Twitter via @_allysontodd

We are grateful for these two fantastic writer/editors and look forward to their ongoing contributions to the building up of the church through Midwestern Seminary.
